Most caravan services come back with a tick and a handshake. Ours comes back with a completed service sheet — every bearing, brake, hub temperature and torque setting recorded and signed off.
Here’s what’s included as standard :
Wheels, Bearings and Brakes
- Hub temperatures checked on drop-off and again on the test tow, before and after brake testing
- Bearings removed, cleaned and inspected for discolouration, pitting and abnormal wear
- Repacked with fresh HTB grease, crown nut adjusted for zero play and free spin
- Brake shoe, drum and magnet wear inspected — you’re told how much life is left before parts are due, not sold parts you don’t need
- Electric brakes tested with Brake Safe or test box, adjusted if required
- Wheels refitted to 120NM torque
Safety and Condition
- Wheel nuts checked for over-torquing and mismatched sets before we touch anything
- Missing wheel centre caps photographed before removal
- Undercarriage and suspension fixings visually inspected
- Brake Safe battery tested at the test point — we recommend replacement every two years regardless of result
- Hot water system anode checked
Grease, Seals and Detail
- Grease nipples, coupling, jack legs, step, jockey wheel, external lock barrels, zips and awning all lubricated
- Bearing and seal part numbers recorded on your sheet for next time
- Hubs painted, tyres shined
Then We Tow It – Not Many People Tow
Every van gets a road test. Bearing temperatures are checked at 5km and braking is tested under load on maximum brake control setting. If it isn’t right on the road, it doesn’t leave.
