Semi-Trailer fit out as a travelling Education Centre for Transafe WA
In 2022, we were part of the transformation of TRANSAFE WA’s 13.5m INSTRUCKTA semi-trailer, custom designed to travel WA and educate the state in road safety. Delivered to us as a bare shell, we were tasked with the complete build and fit out of the living quarters and the education space as well.
This project involved:
- Complete build and fit out for the living quarters including kitchenette, bathroom and bunk beds, plus a heap of storage. This included designing the floor plan, building cabinetry and fold away bunk beds
- Electrical throughout including ePro Combi system with 3000W inverter and 120ah battery charger, 2x 200ah lithium batteries and cabling being run for projectors, tablets and powerpoints
- Plumbing including installation of the toilet, shower, fresh water and grey water tanks and hot water system
- Shelving in place for iPads and VR headsets
- Chemically weld external cladding, insulation of walls and full internal cladding, plus checkerplate flooring laid
- Install seating for VR experience

How long does a semi-trailer fit out take?
Timeline depends entirely on scope, a straightforward living-quarters fit out is a different job to a full education centre build like the Transafe WA project. We’ll give you a firm timeline once we’ve scoped your project in the consultation, so there are no surprises down the track.
Do I need to supply my own trailer?
No, you can bring us your own trailer shell, or we can source and build one for you from scratch in our workshop, whichever suits your project and budget.
What industries do you build for?
Our fit outs have covered educational and promotional trailers (like the Transafe WA road safety centre), race and motorsport support trailers, and commercial display units. If you’ve got a use case that doesn’t fit the mould, talk to us, custom is what we do.
Can you handle the electrical and plumbing as well as the build?
Yes, everything is handled in-house by our own auto-electricians and plumbers, from full off-grid lithium and solar systems through to fresh, grey and black water plumbing. Nothing gets subcontracted out, which keeps quality consistent and timelines tighter.
